Keepio: private inventory meets social commerce [caption id=”attachment_1377” align=”alignright” width=”190” caption=”Keepio is an application that allows members to share, sell and swap their belongings with trusted friends through Facebook, Twitter and other networks.”]

[/caption] Trends in consumer spending and behavioral patterns have shifted drastically due to economic conditions and increased online connectivity among individuals. eBay calls the secondary goods market “a sweet spot with a global opportunity of $500 billion dollars a year.” On average, Facebook welcomes up to 2500 status updates that include “for sale” or “I’m selling” every day. Keepio adds structured data, social proof, and one-click commerce to peer-to-peer transactions. Keepio aggregates qualitative and quantitative recommendations, preferences, price elasticity data, and finely-tuned consumer profiles. Through targeted ad and product placement, service provider partnerships and data marketing, Keepio can lower the cost of customer acquisition, increase brand advocacy, and accelerate serendipitous or impulse buys.
